California somewhere round SanRafael/Napa Valley come October---

I'll be coming back into SanFran Jan 8-19 and will do a special workshop on all the various old gung-fu leg training along with a cross reference of modern stuff ---there will be four workshops through the year cross referencing both conditioning and skills-legs is the first, back and torse-the second and arms upper body the third and the fourth will be combining all of them....so the emphasis is getting new skills and new strengths...
ReplyDelete...for those interested every Wed here in Ellijay I do a class on conditioning and techniques oriented to bodyguard training...it is primarily hands on with some conditioning and "homework" conditioning...

who are all my friends interested in martial arts and philosophy and religion...some of whom want to generate livelihoods protecting sacred things, people and places...
workshops for 2011 seem to be forming in London, Brittany and maybe Rome...Ireland is a possibility too...completing dvd on training the lower body which will correspond to the article with JAMA - footage from the CA workshop will be on the dvd as well as other footage too...

if anyone needs a consultation on "how to train" to optimize your time we can do it on Skype...and I am open to money or barter as there is always something I want! preferably a high speed flying vehicle which can go coast to coast in an hour or so...if only the corporate sector would release some of the new technology and get us off the training wheels of cars and planes...
time flies - just completed the new dvd on training the leg(s) and lower body---being an exposition using the articles I did for JAMA as an outline...this is the most thorough dvd I have ever seen on leg training using both Eastern and Western sources...it is the first stage

some years back I recall some visiting students speculating about my relation to the Central Intelligence Agency and I often wonder if that "colors" or influences public perception of me...of course members of the agency are often depicted as master liars which indeed is sometimes the case...on the other side of the equation is the simple fact that the only way to actually deal with terrorists is through field operatives since it takes spies to fight spies...rather than an expensive land war! at any rate I did indeed study and teach for Robert Smith for twenty eight years. Smith, in his memoirs "Martial Musings" writes about working for the "Agency". He describes himself as a "desk jockey" I recall...in spite of all of this I actually never was hired by the Agency- though I was approached by recruiters. Smith to his credit once told me "Never work for a government or a corporation." Obviously at this stage in history they are pretty much the same thing. I followed his advice partially - never working for the government- though I did work for several businesses/corporations including a cartography stint for Groundwater Technology...at present I am simply working for myself...and have the lack of money to prove it!
